BRIEF

Unit Solutions makes the UNIT4, a training rifle built to mirror the AR-15 platform closely enough that the reps transfer. The claim is the product — and it's hard to make on a spec sheet. The review needed to show whether the similarity holds up in use, for an audience that runs the real platform and would notice anything that didn't.

Produced as a long-form episode for the Defense Strategies Group YouTube channel.

APPROACH

One shoot day in a shoot house, structured around two questions: does it work, and does it feel like the rifle it's training you for.

We ran the platform through team-based CQC — the environment it exists for — and covered the specifics an operator would test against: bolt lock, magazine durability, weight, recoil, and whether duty-rifle components swap onto it. Then a direct side-by-side against a standard AR-15 so the comparison was visible rather than asserted.

Education carrying the structure, entertainment and cinematic value keeping people watching. Stills and short-form captured on the same day.

RESULT

The episode led to a second review with Unit Solutions covering the UNIT9 pistol, and a sit-down interview with Co-President Jamie Snider.
